The 58th European Marine Biology Symposium was held in Bodø, Norway, from 6–9 July 2025. The conference was hosted by Nord University in collaboration with the EuroMarine Network.

 

This was the 58th annual EMBS, continuing a tradition since the 1960s of bringing early-career and experienced researchers together in a relaxed environment to share knowledge, know-how, and ideas about marine biology and related sciences. In addition, the event continued the practice established at the previous two EMBS editions by hosting a panel of major research projects contributing to government and European marine and environmental policies
